Traveling the Bruce Peninsula

I contemplated a long time travelling around the great lakes or going straight to Chicago, it’s about 1600 kms detour. It would basically be visiting Detroit or seeing the lake Superior parks. We opted for the detour! I won’t see the abandoned buildings of Detroit, but I hope the lakes should be worth it.

So after getting some work done on Sully’s transmission in Toronto we head North West to Bruce peninsula. The area is part of a Unesco biosphere reserve, the forests and the waters are pristine. We do a few walks in the peninsula, enjoying the abundant flora and the sight of the clear water. The next day we take the ferry to go North of the lake and start heading to the lake Superior.
