West of Washington
It’s our last day in Washington so we drive there, and we thought traffic in LA was bad, but traffic in Washington is a whole other level of danger. We made it alive to Arlington national cemetery to see the graves of JFK and the unknown soldier as well as the Challenger and Columbia shuttles memorials.
We make it alive again to Georgetown. Founded in 1751 this neighborhood is older than Washington and is home to the world-class Georgetown University.
We surprisingly survived the drive out of DC with not even a single scratch on Sully. It took us 1h30 to do less than 25km. Not only people are bad drivers, but the road signs and planning in the USA seems to be made for confusion and car crashes. There’s no logic or standards and even Google maps gets confused by it.
