Along Thousand Islands

South of Ottawa the St Laurent river slaloms around a myriad of islands. We drive along it on our way to Toronto. Most of the islands are private and have a boat shed or a house on it. We wanted to do a trail in the forest next to the river, but mosquitoes are bad this year, Florida wasn’t an exception. Even with repellent on us we get an army flying behind us and finding ways to bite, we gave up on the walk! Instead we crossed the thousand island bridge to get a nice view on the river. In the evening we make it all the way in Eastern Toronto.
