Going back to South Eastern Utah
Just outside of Moab, Utah, and the two national parks is a beautiful arch. The hike to reach it is really nice and less crowded than in the parks.
We drive from Moab to Natural Bridges and stop at Blanding to see the Edge of the Cedars State Park. It’s more a museum than a park, with one of the largest and most comprehensive collection of artifacts from the ancestral puebloans. At the back of the building is a small village from before 1200, one house is excavated and we can go down the kiva (the meeting and ceremonial room).
The road remains scenic all along and we get as close as 10 miles from the Valley of the Gods where we were months ago.
